Risk studies, risk assessment and risk assessment templates

Risk management tools can be used to survey operational risks and carry out safety assessments.

Risk assessments can be based on generic risk assessment models or self-defined safety criteria that are operationally important and the organisation wants to monitor. Assessment forms can be easily adapted to match the organisation’s own design.

The assessment of each risk is based on a risk matrix. By assessing the severity of a risk/an event and the likelihood of recurrence, a risk level is established. Based on the level, decisions can be made on corrective measures, responsibilities and schedules. The recorded risks are also automatically transferred to the organisation’s risk register.

Risk assessments can be transformed into illustrative summary reports that bring together all relevant information. Assessment summaries provide an easy overview of how well safety is managed in practice at different organisational levels and in different safety areas. Results can be compared easily between units while also monitoring progress.

Risk analyses and process safety assessments

Risk analysis tools help to analyse risks related to operations, changes or processes. Identified risks are recorded during the process or operations, their impact is assessed and measures are defined to reduce it to an acceptable level.

For the measures, a responsible person and a due time can be specified. The responsible person receives an email notification of the assigned task and can use it to sign it off once completed. Based on the measures taken, a residual risk assessment is carried out, which provides an up-to-date indication of the magnitude of the risk and the effectiveness of the measures.

Risk analyses can be transformed into illustrative summary reports that bring together all relevant information. All recorded risks are automatically transferred to the organisation’s risk register, which allows reviewing the organisation’s overall risk management status.

Risk register and follow-up on measures

A risk register is a convenient tool for an organisation’s management to maintain a safety overview. It provides an always up-to-date snapshot of the safety level, the status of deviations and risks as well as measures related to them, along with key operational risks.

A risk register brings together risks from various sources (such as reports, assessments and analyses) in all safety areas. It also provides up-to-date information on whether the residual risk after measures is at the required level as defined in the organisation’s safety plan.

Risk ratings and scoring used in the assessment are tailored to the organisation’s needs.

A risk register enables easy processing of risk management status information in management’s quality and safety reviews, for example.

Versatile risk management statistics views

Rego Risk management also provides for a wide range of statistics views for different purposes and user groups.
